The Solognac lifestyle means living with Nature, for and with Nature and creating products and services that have limited environmental impact on our field of play.
Given our activities, we have a responsibility towards nature. We recognized several years ago the environmental impact of our brand. From this moment onwards, we have sought to find the means to reduce our impact on the environment.
We have therefore put in a place an eco-design approach enabling us on day by day basis to make better products not just for our sports but also for the environment.

Eco-design is the integration of the environmental impact in product design with the view to improving the environmental performance of the product throughout it's life cycle.

In order to reduce Solognac's environmental impact, we have set up an eco-design approach since 2007.
All the brand's team members have been trained. They use appropriate tools to evaluate the environmental impact of products and determine the action plans to be put in place to reduce them. They are assisted by our environmental project leader.

We work on the whole life cycle to reduce the environmental impact of our products. We have especially put the emphasis on the 3 following priority work areas:
1 – Optimisation of material and weight reduction
This eco-design work area consists of optimizing product assembly and shape to reduce material consumption. This enables the reduction of quantities of waste and products weight whilst guaranteeing Solognac's sustainability.
2 - Use of materials with less impact
Whilst we optimise a product to the maximum, we try to select the materials with the least possible impact.
- substituting materials that are a risk for the environment (phthalates, COV,…)
- Recycled materials
- Materials made from renewable resources
3 - Durability
We are currently working on increasing our products' life cycle. We are doing tests so that our products are more durable.
To find them, all you have to do is to check out stores or online. Environmentally friendly products have pictograms as shown below according to the measures implemented.

Qualitative reduction of environmental impacts
Our evaluations tools do not yet integrate water and air pollution, as well as use of non-renewable resources. We therefore sometimes only communicate the share of materials with least environmental impact.
